Part-time (16 hrs/week) • Tower Hamlets • £29,500 FTE
We are looking for an organised, dynamic ‘people person’ to coordinate our volunteers, supporting our Well Old and Touching Safe Ground programmes and growing more connection in our local community.
You’ll:
Lead volunteer recruitment, onboarding and safeguarding, acting as the first point of contact for enquiries, managing applications, interviews, references, inductions and DBS checks.
Coordinate and support volunteers across projects, including scheduling availability for weekly sessions, maintaining regular communication, providing training and development opportunities, and ensuring volunteers feel supported and valued.
Develop partnerships and outreach opportunities with universities, community groups and other organisations, to recruit volunteers, strengthen referral pathways and identify wellbeing, learning and CPD opportunities.
Manage volunteer administration, engagement and reporting, including travel expenses, record-keeping, monitoring recruitment and retention, and organising occasional thank-you events to recognise volunteer contributions.
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced in volunteer management and coordination
An excellent communicator who’s great at building relationship
Super organised and proactive
Passionate about empowering women and building inclusive communities
Contract: 1-year fixed-term with potential to extend
