£35,579 - £37,452 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Leeds Voids Team. You will be based in Leeds and will cover the West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire area. With a mix of skills and qualifications, including joinery, basic plumbing, patch plastering, tiling. The role will involve working on repairs for void properties bringing recently vacated properties back to a lettable standard in a timely manner to allow them to be offered to new customers. Providing support to Day to Day (DTD) and planned teams when needed. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team when required. Out of Hours cover is a requirement of the role on a rota basis. With a company van and tools included.
The role of Multi – Trade Operative will include:
- Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
- Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
- Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
- Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
- To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (joinery, plumbing. If plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
- Skills in some of the following disciplines – plumbing, plastering, joinery and windows and door installation
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
