The role of Digital Marketing Executive

We’re looking for a talented Digital Marketing Executive to help us grow our online
presence and inspire new audiences to discover “adventure without limits.”

This is a hands-on creative role where no two days are the same. You’ll manage digital
campaigns, shape engaging content across multiple channels, and showcase the real
impact of inclusive adventure. Working with a small but ambitious team, you’ll help
strengthen our brand, increase engagement, and tell the stories that make Calvert
Devon so special.

From social media campaigns and videos to blogs, photography and design, every post
you create will help open up adventure for more people.

If you’re a confident communicator with an eye for design, a passion for creativity and a
love for stories that make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.

What you will need

Essential:

  Experience in digital marketing, content creation and social media management
  Strong writing and communication skills with excellent attention to detail
  Creative mindset with the ability to generate fresh ideas and engaging content
  Confident in using digital tools such as Canva, Meta Business Suite and email

marketing platforms

  Design and video editing skills
  Experience of analysing and reporting on digital performance
  Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  Enthusiastic team player who’s self-motivated and organised
  To enjoy working as part of a close-knit team
  To be punctual and adaptable
  Have knowledge of varying disabilities
  To be over 18 years of age
  Your own means of transport due to our location
  Competent in using: Microsoft Office – including Word, Excel and Outlook

(advanced level desirable)

  A passion for Calvert Devon’s mission and inclusive adventure

Desirable:

  Experience within the charity, tourism or education sector
  Familiarity with WordPress or website content management systems

Job details

Job type: Permanent, full-time or part time will be considered

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, predominantly Monday to Friday. Some evening and/or
weekend work may be required in line with business needs.

Start date: Immediate start available

Salary: £25,750pa (pro rata as per agreed hours for part time contract)

Location: Hybrid role.
Office location: Wistlandpound, Kentisbury, Barnstaple EX31 4SJ

Travel: Some travel may be required

Job Description

Job Title:  Digital Marketing Executive

Direct Reports:  Marketing Manager

Liaise with:  All other teams at Calvert Devon and external stake holders

Purpose of job

To assist in formulating strategies to build a lasting digital connection with our guests
and supporters.

Ensure an ongoing consistent company presence on the various digital channels.
Use digital marketing to increase Calvert Devon’s on-line presence, brand awareness,
customer enquiries and conversion.

Design, create and produce both digital and print marketing collateral that align with the
brand’s identity and key messages

Key responsibilities

Content Creation

  Develop engaging multimedia content (written, visual, and video) that showcases
our adventure breaks, education programs, fundraising case for support, and the
impact of our work with people with disabilities and other types of guest
audiences.

  Capture stories from participants, staff, supporters and volunteers that reflect our
values and mission, transforming them into compelling blog posts, case studies,
testimonials, film, reports and social media content.

  Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to design and produce

marketing collateral (e.g. online brochures, digital ads) that align with the  brand’s
identity and key messages.

  Manage photography and videography of centre activities, guest experiences

and special events, ensuring the content is high-quality and represents the spirit
of what we do.

Digital Marketing

  Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to increase brand awareness,
drive traffic, and generate leads for guest bookings, commercial bookings and
fundraising support.

  Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube,
TikTok etc.), growing our online presence and engaging with our community
through creative and interactive content.

  Provide innovative and timely content for email marketing campaigns that keep,

supporters, stakeholders and participants informed and engaged with our work.
  Monitor and analyse social media performance using tools like Google Analytics

and Meta Business Suite, providing insights and recommendations for
continuous improvement.

Collaboration

  Work closely with internal colleagues (including fundraising, sales/guest services,
business development etc.) to ensure all content aligns with both guest income
generation, commercial goals and fundraising initiatives.

  Work with external parties such as videographers, designers and partnerships to

aid creative processes and further commercial and fundraising goals

General

  To participate in internal and external training appropriate to the role
  Provide assistance to other members of the immediate and wider team as

required.

  To undertake any other reasonable duties as requested to ensure the smooth

running of the organisation.
