EDI Observances Intern (Student Engagement)
The EDI Observances Intern (student engagement) will play a key role in enhancing student engagement with the University’s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) observances programme.

Key Responsibilities
Student Engagement & Co-Creation
- Work collaboratively with staff and students to co-design EDI observance events and activities
- Ensure student perspectives and lived experiences are embedded in programming
- Engage diverse student groups to broaden participation across observances
Event Support & Delivery
- Support the planning and delivery of events during EDI observances
- Assist with event logistics, promotion, and on-the-day coordination
Partnership Development
- Build and strengthen relationships with:
- Strath Union and student representatives
- Third-sector organisations (e.g., community and advocacy groups)
- Faculties and Student Experience teams
Research, Feedback & Evaluation
- Gather student feedback (e.g., though surveys, conversations, and engagement activities)
- Participate in reflection and debriefing after each observance
- Contribute to evaluation reports assessing the impact of EDI observances
Communications & Promotion
- Support the promotion of EDI observances through digital and in-person channels
- Contribute to content creation that raises awareness and encourages student participation
