Bloxham School is seeking a reliable, hardworking and friendly Weekend Domestic Assistant to join our Operations and Logistics team. This role is vital in helping us maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors. About the Role:
As a Weekend Domestic Assistant, you will help ensure that a wide range of school areas are cleaned and maintained to an excellent standard.
Duties include:
- Cleaning kitchens, worktops, white goods, floors and bins.
- Hoovering bedrooms, corridors and common areas.
- High and low-level dusting and internal glass cleaning.
- Tidying communal areas, including cables and equipment.
- Emptying bins and disposing of rubbish responsibly.
- Deep cleaning at the beginning and end of term.
- Supporting the preparation of school events, including Open Mornings and major celebrations.
- You may also be asked to work across different areas of the school to meet operational needs, including support during external lettings outside term time
About you:
We are looking for someone who is dependable, proactive and committed to maintaining high standards.
Essential:
- Experience using cleaning equipment and materials.
- Ability to use your own initiative and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Strong organisational skills and an eye for detail.
- A warm, sympathetic and positive approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training.
