Deputy Director of Development
£54,000 – £58,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Oriel College is seeking an experienced and ambitious Deputy Development Director to help shape the next chapter of its development programme beyond the College’s 700th anniversary campaign.
As the Deputy Development Director, you will work closely with the Development Director and will lead day-to-day fundraising across regular, mid-level and major giving, manage a significant portfolio of donors and prospects, and support the Development Officers in delivering their goals and objectives.
This is a senior, externally facing role for a confident relationship-builder with a strong track record of securing six-figure gifts, excellent judgement, and the ability to work effectively with alumni, donors, senior academics and College leaders. You will play a central role in developing compelling opportunities for support, strengthening Oriel’s donor pipeline in the UK and overseas, and acting as a persuasive ambassador for one of Oxford’s historic colleges.
We are looking for someone strategic, collaborative and results-driven, with the sensitivity, creativity and leadership skills to build lasting philanthropic relationships and help advance Oriel’s teaching, research and collegiate life.
