We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated Community Development Worker who is passionate about improving health and wellbeing and building strong networks within the local community. You will work as part of the Healthy Communities Team within the Better Together programme, which aims to reduce health inequalities. This post will be working in the Hunslet and Riverside area of Leeds.

In this key role, you will work with a wide range of individuals and community groups with different abilities, backgrounds and cultures. You will have excellent knowledge of supporting vulnerable people to improve their health and wellbeing, along with proven experience in delivering community development outreach work and connecting individuals and communities with resources and support.

The successful candidate will be committed to continuous improvement, self-motivated and able to manage tasks independently. You will have strong knowledge and understanding of community development principles and empowerment practice, as well as a commitment to inclusivity—ensuring participation and involvement from all individuals accessing the service. A flexible, “can-do” attitude is essential.
