Our ABI Coordinator (Northern Ireland) - will be home and community based in Northern Ireland, supporting children and young people affected by childhood ABI.

Job Description:

This role provides vital support to families and professionals across the United Kingdom affected by Childhood Acquired Brain Injury (ABI).
Working within the Brain Injury Service, you will deliver high-quality support to families and communities navigating the challenges of ABI.
The successful post holder will play a key role in ensuring families can access the right support at the right time. You will be responsible for managing your own workload, prioritising effectively, and working towards key targets and outcomes. A strong understanding of statutory, voluntary, and community sector services is important in order to enable effective support pathways for children, young people, and their families.
We are looking for someone who is empathetic, approachable, and able to engage meaningfully with children, young people, and families. You will demonstrate a commitment to treating all individuals with respect and dignity, in line with the values of the Child Brain Injury Trust. The successful candidate will have:
- An understanding of the educational support needs of children and young people with special educational needs
- An understanding of local and regional services across Northern Ireland that can support the needs of families in the community
- Relevant experience supporting families with disabilities
- Relevant experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Relevant experience organising, hosting and facilitating community events and support groups building community inclusion services
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
