The main purpose of a clinical trainer within Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is to deliver specialist education and training to healthcare professionals, carers and others involved in the care of individuals with spinal cord injury. This role will sit within SIA’s Frank Williams Academy, which offers CPD-certified modules facilitated by experienced clinicians.
The Trainer will also deliver specialised training programmes for individuals with spinal cord injuries (SCI), which will play a key role in empowering participants by teaching essential skills for independence, rehabilitation and vocational readiness. This role requires a compassionate and knowledgeable professional, with a strong understanding of SCI-related challenges, adaptive technologies and inclusive teaching practices.
· Recruited as a Clinical Bank Trainer, paid on a session-by-session basis.
· Trainers will be paid £25 per hour.
· Travel expenses will be paid in-line with SIA's expenses policy.
· Where possible travel will be limited to 1hr, approximately 50mile radius.
· Courses will be allocated to trainers, by the FWA Co-ordinator.
Clinical bank trainers will be expected to deliver a minimum of 4 courses per financial year.
