Based at The Allianz Stadium, the home of England Rugby, the role of Event Ticketing Manager plays a crucial part in the overall ticketing operation.
We are looking for an experienced Event Ticketing Manager to join our ticketing team to continue its efficient delivery of not only Men’s, Women’s, and U20 fixtures played at both the Allianz Stadium and elsewhere, but also to ensure all venue hires are offered the best service possible.
With ticket revenue responsible for 50% of the RFU’s overall income, it’s essential that the ticketing team operates as efficiently and effectively as possible. This includes the careful management of the Community Game, Debenture Holders and Commercial Partners.
Also, as the organisation continues its journey into becoming a truly data led organisation, working collaboratively across departments, your experience will play a key role in helping us through this transition.
The Team:
An established team with invaluable experience in how the organisation works, the Event Ticketing Manager will need to continue their excellent work whilst introducing new ideas and further developing staff where required.
Some key responsibilities include:

- Assist the Head of Ticketing in managing the relationship and contracts with the appointed ticketing app provider (Tixserve), ticketing platform (Ticketmaster) and access control (Fortress) by leading the management of suppliers day to day, ensuring that the ticketing systems remain fit for purpose to meet business requirements and provide the best user experience possible for match days.
- Facilitate and advise on ticket pricing, budgeting, sales reporting and post event reconciliation.
- Work closely with the Head of Ticketing using data and analysis to highlight revenue opportunities and risk, including presenting to the Executive and Leadership team via presentations, utilising Tableau and PowerPoint for example.
- Drive delivery of an excellent ticketing service including the communication, allocation distribution, supply and service of tickets for all RFU owned and third-party Twickenham Stadium events.
- Proactively plan to ensure the Ticketing team workload is managed effectively.
- Work closely with the Digital, CRM and Marketing teams to implement innovative campaigns to deliver revenue and spectator engagement with the RFU.
- Build and maintain a strong, collaborative relationship between Ticketing and Customer Service to ensure a high level of customer experience is achieved.
- Support the delivery of the event day ticketing operation for all Allianz Stadium event days, supporting the Customer Service operation in the effective running of the Box Office.
- Using new technology and improved business processes, identify areas where both operational efficiencies and improved customer experience can be made.
- Work closely with IT and the Data and Insights department to ensure accurate ticketing data feeds into the data warehouse and insight dashboards. Work with relevant departments to enhance ticketing data, insights, and reporting.
- Oversee the England fixtures on the road (U20s and Red Roses) from a ticketing perspective.
- Ensure the Allianz Stadium app is used for RFU sold tickets for England fixtures away from Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.
- Actively collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of the current strategic, business and operational plans.
- Act as an ambassador for, and promote the best interests of the RFU, including the promotion of our culture and core values – This Rose Means Everyone: Put The Team First, Shape The Future, Respect Each Other.
- Undertake other duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the organisation.
