Ufton Court is a historic and characterful venue delivering unforgettable weddings and
special events. As part of the Ufton Court Educational Trust, our commercial events help
fund transformational education programmes for children and young people. By offering
exceptional service in a breathtaking setting, we create joyful, meaningful celebrations
and help make a difference in young lives at the same time.

We host over 100 weddings a year in our Tudor manor house and tithe barn, alongside
community events, private hire events, retreats and seasonal celebrations. Our team is

Purpose

We are looking for a friendly, organised and enthusiastic Wedding Co-ordinator to join
our team. You will play a key role in ensuring every couple enjoys a seamless, memorable
experience — from their first visit to Ufton through to their wedding day itself.

You’ll manage the planning and delivery of weddings and celebrations at Ufton Court,
working closely with couples, suppliers, and our in-house team to provide an exceptional
service that reflects the beauty and values of our historic venue.

Key responsibilities

•  Act as the main point of contact for wedding couples from enquiry through to

post-event follow-up.

•  Conduct venue viewings and respond promptly and professionally to wedding

enquiries.

•  Support couples in planning all aspects of their day, including logistics, timings,

and supplier coordination.

•  Prepare and maintain detailed event schedules and documentation.
•  Liaise with internal teams (housekeeping, education, and admin) to ensure

smooth event delivery.

•  Be present during weddings and events to oversee set-up, coordinate the

running of the day, and provide excellent customer care.

•  Support with events such as marketing activities, open days, and social media

content for weddings.

•  Maintain accurate records, contracts, and financial information.
•  Uphold Ufton’s standards of health, safety, and safeguarding at all times.

Person Specification

About you

•  Proven experience in events or wedding coordination (venue, hotel, or hospitality

background desirable).

•  Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with great attention to detail.
•  Warm, professional communication style with the ability to build strong

relationships with clients and colleagues.

•  Calm and practical under pressure, able to problem-solve quickly.
•  Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
•  A genuine enthusiasm for Ufton’s charitable purpose and commitment to

delivering high-quality events that support our educational work.

Working with Children

Safeguarding: All staff at Ufton share responsibility for keeping children safe. As

•  Partial to a late-night cheese toastie and able to keep smiling until the last guest

leaves

We are based in a glorious rural location but that does mean you'll need access to your
own transport. Whilst on site you’ll have lunch and snacks provided and there is usually
homemade cake around.

You must have the right to work in the UK, and it is based fully onsite as we are a place-
based organisation.
