About us
We support young people with accommodation, health support and life skills to help them move into education, training and employment. We aim to end youth homelessness by 2037, supporting over 16,000 young people each year.

We operate a hybrid model: a minimum of 50% office-based (typically five days over two weeks for full-time colleagues, adjusted for part-time/compressed hours).

About you
You will deliver a high-quality, customer-focused rent accounting service. You’ll bring strong numeracy, good communication skills, rent accounting experience, and the ability to meet deadlines. You will also have experience managing staff and a commitment to equal opportunities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing and delivering the rent accounting service.

  • Ensuring rent accounts are accurate and compliant with procedures.

  • Working with colleagues to keep young people’s accounts up to date.

  • Producing arrears, debtors and performance reports.

  • Reconciling rent accounts with Sun (debtors, cash clearing, overpayments).

  • Raising/chasing rent invoices for social services.

  • Leading and developing direct reports.

  • Supporting new rent system implementation.

  • Ensuring rent and service charges are correct during annual rent setting.

Essential Requirements

  • A-Level or accountancy qualification (AAT or similar).

  • High level of numeracy and strong communication skills.

  • Excellent MS Office skills.

  • Experience with accounting systems (ideally Sun and Vision).

  • Knowledge of financial processes and developments.

  • Experience in a busy finance environment, particularly rent accounting.

  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.

  • Experience supporting non-finance colleagues.

  • Staff management experience.

Why join Centrepoint?

  • 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 27).

  • Healthcare cash plan.

  • Private medical insurance.

  • Income protection.

  • 5% employer pension contribution.

  • Cycle to Work scheme.

  • Interest-free travel loan.
